Truman Cafe is BACK!

This blog post has been a long time coming….Recommended by a friend, I made way to Truman Cafe for a Sunday breakfast mid May this year. Excited by what I saw, ate and experienced I decided this place was definitely worth a feature on 3HeartsofLife.

Little did I expect however, that an hour after I left, a driver would veer off the rd and land its way through the front entrance of the cafe. Luckily no one was hurt BUT it meant that all Truman fans had to wait until they opened again to dine in, what I believe to be one of Melbourne’s hot spots!

Owners Ryan and Mark have been extremely successful in setting their cafe apart from others. Aside from the creative and very delivering menu the interior is Clad in quirky and unusual collectables, making the entire dining experience extremely fun!!

Toy soldiers march in line as they are neatly placed along the the walls and wrap the ceiling. Plants, wooden and tin trays as well as other antique items adorn the interior and the use of old collectables as vases, sugar bowls and menu holders cannot go unnoticed. Pineapples seems to be a favoured theme, as icons of the fruit continue to pop up throughout. A clever little space with real character and personality.

Huge servings, Great Coffee, friendly staff and an extremely interesting cost effective menu is what you will find at Truman Cafe.. as if you would want anything different.!! A pleasurable experience no matter how busy… the staff are calm and will fit you in with no more than a 5-10 minute wait! This place has definitely made it into my top 5 favourites of Melbourne and will be a new local spot of mine! Great that they are back!
